First, he was the drummer for Genesis, then the lead singer for them and then he had a phenomenally successful solo career, though I did not care much for his solo songs. I saw him with Genesis back in 1978 or so in Wisconsin and then again at Arco arena a few years ago and they were just as good at Arco as way back then. He did a drum solo with Chester Thomson which was fantastic. The light show they had at Arco was reminiscent of those back in the 1970s and 80s, which was cool in the extreme. I wish he would tour one more time with Genesis and come back around these parts, but I doubt it will happen.
