If you’re reading this sometime during April 1st and April 7th, be sure to wish all of your friends happy “International Pooper Scooper Week”. If you are reading this after that week, boy – did YOU miss out! As silly as it sounds, dog droppings are no joke – we’re talking 71 million dogs producing over 4.4 billion pounds of poop per year. That, my friends, is enough to cover 900 football fields with 12 inches of dog doo doo (someone – not me -had big fun doing that math). I’m not sure if there were any activities held in conjunction with”International Pooper Scooper Week” – scooper relays, scoop-offs, etc. – but just know that if you picked up after your pooch, you were part of an international…..movement.
